Because Valentine’s Day is this Sunday, the one day dedicated to loving your significant other, to show them how much their existence means to you (which we should do everyday, but ya know.) I decided to go around and ask the people of Centennial what love truly meant to them, and the answers are too cute…

Angelina Bragg, Senior

“It’s being faithful and truth, and just loving each other in a relationship.”

Angelina Bragg

Talon Potter, Senior

“I hate love.” Optimism at it’s finest.

Katie Babich and Dustin Tilley

Him: “It’s being comfortable, being best friends and being weird with each other but still loving them. And we don’t get tired of each other.”

Mia Gilbertson, Sophomore

“Love is watching Sherlock and Netflix with bacon.”

Madison Blackmore, Sophomore

“I think it means being happy, I think you find love in unexpected places, it’s happiness.”

Marissa Macaluso and Darian Manzanares

Him: “Love is wiping your snot on someone. It’s knowing she’ll be there and I’ll be there when she needs me.”

Tito Mendiaz, Senior

“It’s heartbreak, despair, and dying.”

AJ Sena, Senior

“I think love is when you find someone you would share the custody of a dog with.”

IMG_8602

Vince Herrera, Senior

“Love is when you see them and you get all happy and you don’t regret any time spent with them. You guys are really good friends, you can talk about anything. You guys just fit perfectly.”

IMG_8575

Noah Chavez, Senior

“Love is the warm, bubbly feeling you get when someone looks at you with affection.”

IMG_8605

Dane Aragon, Senior

“Love is being able to be yourself around your person. No matter how far apart you are, you still feel them in your heart. Its and interpersonal connection. You don’t have to speak but you know what the other person is thinking.”

Mrs. Sandy

“Love is kindness, I have a very kind husband. It’s Valentine’s Day every day.”

Mrs. Sosa

“Well, I’ve been married for 42 years. It’s just, love is in stages. First, it’s happiness and giddiness, and years later it’s comfort and reliance any and every day. This stage I’m in it’s unconditional care for each other, and it moves on to other people, you learn compassion. It’s real funny, I hope you feel it. One person for that long is amazing. He’s a hard worker and He is so fun.”

Okay, I’m in tears.

Mr. Sterling

“You know you’ll do anything possible for that person. There is not a bad day with them.”
