Let’s start from the beginning of our once upon a time. On Monday you could just feel the excitement…you could hear it too; it had our teachers going insane.  Juniors lost the Peach Fuzz game, 2 games to zero. Seniors were rocking it, though, with Mathew Otter and his killer serve.

Class sponsor, Mrs. Strobel, managed to pull together an awesome Prom.  Thursday’s Prom Assembly brought our childhood stories to life with dance and song and, yes, Chandler in a dress. Everything fit perfectly, unlike Cinderella’s soccer cleat, kinda looked like it was a forced fit for a minute there. All the same, the “people of the four kingdoms” chose a splendid king and queen to rule the lands happily ever after.  AJ Sena was crowned prom king and Katie Davis was crowned prom queen.

Friday, many men and maidens took the day off because…who doesn’t need 6 hours to get ready for Prom (nobody). Around 8:00 pm the much anticipated dance kicked off. Sadly, around 11:30 the many Cinderellas fled before the clock hit midnight; they were later spotted at after prom.  It was clear that the spell of glass slippers and glamorous dresses had wore off as they played racket ball, volleyball, duck and jump, and gambled (legally) in sweats and no shoes.

The night came to an end, but many of Centennials royalty partied till early morning, if not longer. It was a happily (semi-temporary) ever after.
