Who is that? Is something you’d be asking when you first meet Timo Perez, Timo is a determined Freshmen here at Centennial with big hopes and goals for his next three years.  Timo is the Freshman Class President, and really wants to work his way all the way up to the top ten academically, and then hopes to be the class valedictorian.  Another goal he hopes to achieve athletically is to make it to state for either Track or Cross Country.  Timo is very involved in our school, he is in 3 different clubs: Spanish Club, Newman Club, and Fresh Club.  He is in two sports, and is also in many AP classes.  In fact, he says, “my favorite class has to be AP Environmental Science with Mrs. Strobel, the way she teaches it makes it really fun and intriguing, and I’m probably going to sound like a hippy but I believe strongly in learning about our planet and what it needs.”

The first time you talk Timo you will notice how friendly and bold he is, he doesn’t look at being a Freshmen as a bad thing.  “It’s okay to be a Freshmen, it will give you a different perspective for sure and it’s a really good experience.  He loves high school because he gets to meet new people and experience something new.

“I also love it because high school gives you more opportunities and experiences than middle school ever did and I’m excited to see where it takes me.”  His ultimate goal in life is to be a doctor of infectious diseases or a surgeon, and with the determination and hopes and goals he has for high school, there’s no doubt he is going to paint that path red.
