On January 21st, just a day after inauguration, protesters worldwide started to rally. These weren’t just any rallies, these rallies were led by millions of strong women who felt strongly about Trump being inaugurated. There were a lot of locals participated in the march in Denver, including some of our Bulldogs.

Collyn Calhoun a Junior here at Centennial participated in the march, loved every minute of her experience. She said it was amazing to be in a place of no judgment and to see a unity of people coming together all for the same purpose. She feels in equality and that no one man or woman should be denied of their rights.

“It scares me, you never know what’s true or false.” “You never know what’s going to happen, and you hear all theses things on social media and the T.V I just hope that it’s not true and I hope he makes the right decisions.”

She also talked about the amount of people were there both men and women, in fact her favorite part of the whole march was as they were walking a lady, “walked outside her front door of her apartment and chanted with them.” With about 200,000 people in her opinion  she felt there was no downside to it. After walking from the Capital all around the 16th St. Mall and back, the experience changed her, “If I could do it again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

It’s so amazing to see so many strong women and men stand up for something they believe in, the whole march bonded millions of people together while peacefully protesting. For those who experienced it said it was life changing and would do it again in a heartbeat, as for the rest of the world it was a historic moment in our history, from women having no say in anything to them now leading peaceful protest all around the world.
