The Girls swim team prevailed against the East Eagles this Tuesday. Scoring 117 to 59 overall, it was just the night our girls needed. They bounced back from a loss to a very good County Hornets team, as well as placing 6th out of 8th in the Gunnison invite.
“I felt really well about tonight, we pushed hard and had better times. I am very proud of the team,” said senior Teah Ausbun when asked about her team’s performance.
Teah is the team’s top diver and placed head and shoulders above the competition. The other notable performance of the night came from senior Abigail Smith. Abigail placed first in the 200 yard individual medley and the 200 yard medley relay with teammates Maddie Deyne, Anna Shah, and Hannah Combs. With a number of great swimmers on the team this season, lets hope the girls can carry the momentum into the Pueblo city meet, scheduled for December 8th.
